Beyond the ordinary
This is where my new journey begins. Browse my pages of available products and get to know what I do, and how I'm committed to quality. Watch me as I grow and succeed. I'm glad you're here to be a part of my story.
My story
I began crocheting at the age of 7, taught by my mother. As a young adult I made baby afghans for my family and friends as well as throw afghans for gifts. In my 30's I decided I wanted to learn to quilt, motivated by old quilts my grandmother used to pull out on cold nights down on her farm. My first quilt was done on my own from reading an old book (boy did I have a lot to learn, lol). About a year later I took a class at a local quilt shop in Missouri and I was forever addicted! Before long I updated my cheap sewing machine to a Pfaff grand quilter and a quilting frame with a pc quilter. I entered two quilts in the SEMO County fair and one took the Blue ribbon, the other received an honorable mention. Both were given as gifts to two people very dear to me. I have them featured on my quilting page. I now have an APQS long arm machine and frame, however, due to some personal issues, I do not currently have it set up. I hope to have it up and running again within the next few months. In the meantime, I am still crocheting and have added a slew of projects to my repertoire. Please browse the available items. I will gladly deliver any item you are interested in purchasing to you within Wilmington, NC and the immediate surrounding areas. Also feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you find something you like!

My history and going forward
I am fore-most a mother of three beautiful children and 7 gorgeous grandbabies. A former educator, This site is the first step in a lifelong dream to be self-sufficient. Circumstances have forced me to face my fears and make the leap. Hopefully my dreams of having a small 2-5 acre homestead, living in a dome styled home surrounded by chickens, turkeys, kunekune pigs, my homegrown veggies and fruits while quilting and crocheting inside will finally come to fruition.
I will post available products weekly and will try to write about interesting topics as well as updates on my progress towards my goals.
First Week
Today has been a week since I started the website. I received my window decals for my car Saturday, so hopefully I will begin to get some traffic on it soon. I was supposed to meet with an owner of a gift shop down at the beach to sell some of my amigurumi sea creatures this past Thursday, but she didn't show. Pretty rude nd inconsiderate in my opinion to set up a meeting and not show, not cancel...nothing. well, you know what they say about Karma.
I have begun to work on some pumpkins for fall decorating. I will start uploading them for you within the next week or two. In the meantime, I hope everyone has a safe and happy fourth of July.
